How do I get there?

URGENT UPDATE!!!

We have been made aware of Engineering works on the Eurostar in the last two weeks of August. This means no foot passenger trains to Belgium.

Do Not worry

trains are still going to Lille and it is the same distance to the venue from either Lille or Brussels so please book to go to Lille.

The EuroTunnel now called ‘LeShuttle’ is running normally if you want to drive

Because we are an international couple, we know that some of you wonderful people will be traveling both locally and internationally….

with this in mind, we have listed the various modes of transport to ensure you have the full options for attending our special day

Eurostar

You can reach the venue by either taking the Eurostar from King’s Cross to Lille or Brussels.

From Lille it is around a 45min taxi ride

from Brussels it is a 1-hour taxi ride or 50min by train to Oudenaarde

Eurotunnel

If you are driving, there are a few considerations for you which we will detail here:

ensure your car is in good shape and you’re confident driving on the other side of the road (if you are English)

If you intend on going during your visit, Register your car to enable driving in Belgium's major cities such as Ghent, Brussels, and Antwerp.

These cities have LEZ zones similar to the London ULEZ zone so vehicles much be registered otherwise you may be picked up by cameras and sent a fine. There are separate sites for Ghent, Brussels, and Antwerp but all are free registrations:

By Air

You can fly from many worldwide airports to Brussels.

from Brussels, it is a 1-hour taxi ride or 50min by train to Oudenaarde
